Love Savers Re-launches A.L.L. Book Club in 2018
This February 2018 LoveSavers re-launches its Abundant Love and Life (A.L.L.) Book Club for Christian women seeking to go deeper in their relationships with God by reading and studying different ways and methods other believers have done same and then applying them to their lives. After many conversations with women of the JoyLove group, Sonja Williams decided it was time to start reading again. “I remember having a conversation with Sonja saying I want to follow God and be obedient, but I can’t hear his voice. And she assured me that hearing God’s voice would only come by spending more time with Him and she had the perfect book for me to read,” Carahna Magwood, a newcomer to the A.L.L. Book Club shared with us.
This fellowship of Christian women who have made a commitment to pursue abundant love, life, and communion as promised through Biblical scripture is back at it ready to do kingdom work. The first book, The Big Deal of Taking Small Steps to Move Closer to God, by Bishop Vashti Murphy McKenzie where Bishop McKenzie prescribes very small changes-such as adding a mere thirty seconds of prayer daily-that lead to radical closeness to God. And building an enjoyable, meaningful relationship with the Almighty doesn’t mean striving for perfection. Small steps-but meaningful steps-collectively evolve into intimacy with God. And the big deal result is greater ability to biblically address life challenges. The big deal is that you’re even more available to serve family, church, and community: truly in “no ways tired.” Increasing spirituality is incremental, not monumental. Mustard-seed-like increases in positive actions (and corresponding decreases in negative ones) yield mountain-moving growth!
The readings, resources, and discussions are designed to inspire and support our pursuit of godly business practices, relationships, and lifestyles. Join us as we seek the wisdom and guidance of our God.
